Changes in the Day

Adjusting and adapting to changing conditions within the schedule is one of the most important skills for an elementary school teacher to have. Things come up in our schedule daily, and it is important to always be adjusting and moving right along. In my class especially, students are in and out for pull-out groups and music lessons, and once in a while, there are meetings and events that come up for teachers as well. I have learned that to be an effective teacher, I must be able to multi-task and keep a positive, forward-moving attitude, and adjust to whatever may come my way throughout the school day. I feel as though I have developed this quality over the course of my student teaching.
