Collaboration with ESOL Specialist

In my fourth grade class, I have many English language learners, 5 of whom are often pulled out for an ESOL group at some time during the day or week. Therefore, I collaborate either daily or weekly with our ESOL specialist. The ESOL specialist will often come in and ask me what we are working on so he can plan accordingly. I will also take students’ work to him or ask him for advice on reaching these students in my own lessons. He also often brings me materials to incorporate in my instructions to make them more effective for the ESOL students, which is always a goal in each lesson I teach.
