Collaboration with Special Education Specialists

After careful consideration, my mentor and I decided we needed to refer one of our fourth grade students to the special education specialists as a candidate for special education and an IEP. Part of the process of doing so included a meeting which I attended during the school day. My mentor and I met with the special services staff to discuss our observations, our student's needs, and what we could do to better meet her needs, so that she can be most successful in learning.
