Back to School Night

On the evening of September 2, 2010, my elementary school had their annual "Back to School" Night, which my mentor teacher encouraged me to attend. Back to School Night, along with the Back to School Picnic, which I was also able to attend, were great first experiences meeting and interacting with the parents of my students. I felt very included by my mentor teacher as she spoke to the parents on behalf of both of us as their children's teachers. I introduced myself to all the parents who were able to come, beginning to build and develop my professional relationship with them.
