Having a special lunch with students

My mentor and I feel that students who are always on task, following directions, completing assignments, and helping out in the classroom deserve recognition for their positive, good behaviors. Throughout the year, students who had been extremely helpful in the classroom were given this recognition, and, as a reward, they had lunch in the classroom with me. This experience was not only a way for the students' good behavior to be rewarded, but was a positive way for me to develop a professional, yet warm and caring, relationship with my students.
