Math & Science Night

On the evening of November 18, 2010, my school hosted a Math/ Science night. All students were welcome to attend and participate in fun math and science activities at stations around the cafeteria and gymnasium. Teachers were not required, but were encouraged, to help out by running a station or contributing help in some way. Another intern and I volunteered to run a station, and we were assigned the "Reaction Action" station. Even at the end of the November full week in the school, it was still exciting and enjoyable to be at an event after school and see the students take some of their spare time to engage in hands-on learning activities. It was well worth the extra couple hours beyond internship expectations to see and interact with my students and their families and help out and support the school and the other teachers.
