Time for Kids article on the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill (click to enlarge)

Reading is integrated in many of my Social Studies and Science lessons, mainly by utilizing the text book. However, I think it is very important to bring in outside sources to which students may not otherwise be exposed, and to which they can make important connections. Time for Kids articles are a great source for relevant, interesting information that students can understand and enjoy reading.
