Over this year I have developed an extremely positive relationship with my mentor teacher. From the beginning I felt my mentor made a conscious effort to include me and treat me as a professional, as well as demonstrate the message to our students that I am also their teacher. My mentor has provided me with only supportive, encouraging words, along with her experienced advice and wise suggestions. We are in constant communication about everything that goes on, from her lessons, to my lessons, to the daily happenings in the classroom. I have great respect for my mentor as a teacher, and I am glad she feels I have fulfilled my internship obligations, contributed positively to the classroom, and have developed into a skilled and effective teacher.
